Why Is John McCain’s “Hispanic Outreach Director” Still Involved in Mexican Politics?

Posted in 2008, America, Amnesty, Anchor Babies, Border Security, deportation, Dual Citizen, Economy, GOP, Guest Workers, Hispanic, illegal aliens, illegal immigration, Invaders, John McCain, Juan Hernandez, La Raza, Latino, Latino Arrogance, lawbreakers, McCain, Mexican government, Mexican Reconquista, Mexico, Open Border, Politics, POW, pro-amnesty, Reconquista, social services, Sovereignty, taxpayers, trespassers, U.S. Government, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S.-Mexico border, Voters, welfare on February 3, 2008 by americanchaos

Because That’s How McCain Likes It.

By Allan Wall

John McCain is now the front-runner for the Republican nomination. He has the momentum, the media like him, and he’s got some big name endorsements (from Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nancy Reagan, and drop-out candidates Giuliani and Thompson, among others). Will McCain and his so-called “Straight Talk Express” take the nomination?

Here in Mexico, I haven’t thus far seen much interest in the McCain candidacy. The media has been reporting his success in the Republican primary, though he’s not yet well-known among the populace. As a rule, the Democratic candidates Hillary and Obama are better known than the Republican candidates.

And I predict that when general election time rolls around, the Democratic candidate will be the favorite here as usual, and not the GOP standard bearer, whoever he may be. McCain will turn out like President Bush, who despite his pandering to Mexico, is not well-liked here. For that matter, McCain won’t achieve a breakthrough with U.S. Hispanics either, any more than Bush did.

At VDARE.COM, we cannot endorse candidates. But we can and do evaluate them and their platforms, to see how they measure up on the National Question. Then you can vote for whom you like.

In other words, “We Report, You Decide”.

The consensus here at VDARE.COM is, and has been for years, that John McCain, when it comes to the National Question, is not on our side. If you want the border secured, if you want immigration reduced, and if you want the immigrants already here to assimilate, then John McCain is NOT your man.

That’s not an endorsement or an anti-endorsement, it’s just a fact.

And veterans, don’t forget, just because a candidate is a veteran, or even a former prisoner of war, doesn’t mean he’s doing what is right for America today. Benedict Arnold was a war hero.

For years McCain has done his best to thwart border control and to discourage assimilation. Just click this link and see the many articles written about McCain at VDARE.COM. None of them positive. They started with Señor McCain, by Peter Brimelow, February 15, 2000, just after VDARE.com was founded, and continue up to McCain Means: Amnesty, Taxes, Liberal Judges, First Amendment Erosion, Free Trade Dogma, War, By Pat Buchanan, January 24, 2008, with lots of detail in between.

McCain has a horrible record on immigration. Americans for Better Immigration give him a grade of D (for both his Career grade and Recent grade).

For years McCain has supported bilingual education. He opposed Proposition 200 in Arizona.

But it’s not just McCain’s bad voting record, and his negative leadership in promoting McCain-Kennedy and other horrible amnesty bills in recent years (which were all thankfully defeated). It’s not just the man’s rude intolerance to those who don’t agree with him. It’s McCain’s attitude, his outlook, his eagerness to put foreigners ahead of Americans.

A little exchange on the O’Reilly show in 2001 sums up this attitude:

O’REILLY: In Arizona you have the highest dropout rate in the country, all right? — You have an educational system in dire trouble. You have about a million arrests on the border, the jails are overflowing. Now, you’ve got to put the American people ahead of the Mexican people because this is the USA, am I wrong? (Loud applause, cheers and whistles from audience)

MCCAIN: Well, Bill there are many Hispanic citizens of my state of Arizona who are proud of their culture and their heritage, and I’m not sure they would exactly agree with you.

So in answer to O’Reilly’s question: McCain doesn’t think U.S. citizens should have the preference over foreigners in U.S. territory.

Remember those massive illegal alien marches in 2006? John McCain supported them. In a visit to Little Rock, Arkansas, Mike Huckabee’s stomping ground, McCain visited the folks at ¡Hola! Arkansas, a Hispanic newspaper, and told them

“I hope that the marches motivate us to move ahead with the legislation… I believe that these demonstrations—that any citizen [sic] has a right to demonstrate peacefully—is one of our fundamental rights in America that has a beneficial effect and that gives us a sense of urgency to approve the final legislation.”

Well thanks for standing up for the rule of law there John.

Recently, McCain has altered his tune a little. He’s trying to convince voters he will secure the border. But it’s not convincing to anybody who knows John McCain’s record.

On his campaign website McCain has the gall to claim that

“I have always believed that our border must be secure and that the federal government has utterly failed in its responsibility to ensure that it is secure. If we have learned anything from the recent immigration debate, it is that Americans have little trust that their government will honor a pledge to do the things necessary to make the border secure.”

Well, that’s either a big lie or a major lapse of memory (you decide). Back in 2003 John McCain told Tim Russert that “…we cannot protect our own borders”.

James Fulford has put together several contradictory McCain quotes, you can see them here .

For more evidence of where McCain’s heart is: the candidate selected Juan Hernandez (of whom I did a profile on VDARE.COM in 2002) as his campaign’s Hispanic Outreach Director.

Who is Juan Hernandez and why is it significant that John McCain picked him to be his “Hispanic Outreach Director”?

Juan Hernandez is more than your average garden variety Open Borders booster. Hernandez is a dual (U.S.-Mexican) citizen, born in Fort Worth, Texas. It was Hernandez who, in 1996, introduced George W. Bush and Vicente Fox. (See photo of the threesome here).

In the Mexican administration of Vicente Fox, Hernandez served as head of Fox’s Presidential Office for Mexicans Abroad. In the capacity, Hernandez was a tireless advocate for amnesty, driver’s licenses for illegal aliens, and most importantly, the non-assimilation of Mexican immigrants and the Mexicanization of the U.S.

This was not any sort of secret conspiracy, Hernandez spoke openly on U.S. television about wanting Mexican-Americans up to the 7th generation to “think Mexico first”, He told Tom Tancredo that the U.S. and Mexico are not two countries but “just a region”. (For a greatest hits anthology of Juan Hernandez soundbites, click here .)

Hernandez is no longer in the Mexican government. He now lives in the U.S.—where he can do more even damage. Hernandez continues to agitate for amnesty, as a senior fellow in the Reform Institute, in his own HispanA organization, and as a Hispanic Evangelical activist for amnesty .

Juan Hernandez now presents himself as an American. In a recent article on his own website he wrote “Most Americans, including myself…” And he joined forces with Dick Morris to write a book called The New American Pioneers: Why Are We Afraid of Mexican Immigrants?

But notwithstanding all that, with a little research I easily discovered that Hernandez is still active in Mexican politics. He serves on the U.S. Council of the PAN (National Action Party) (National Action Party, which recently held its convention in Los Angeles.

As for Hernandez’ blatant politicized exploitation of dual citizenship, Mark Krikorian pointed out that

“Before Earl Warren started making up emanations and penumbras of the Constitution (in this instance, the case of Afroyim v. Rusk in 1967), Hernandez would have been stripped of his American citizenship for having committed an ‘expatriating act,’ specifically ‘accepting, serving in, or performing the duties of any office, post, or employment under the government of a foreign state or a political subdivision thereof’.”

But nowadays, it’s almost impossible to “expatriate” yourself. Obviously, Hernandez isn’t worried about it

The Reform Institute, of which Hernandez is a senior Fellow, was founded by John McCain along with Bob Kerrey. It receives funding from George Soros. Officially, McCain left the Institute in 2005, so maybe that’s his excuse (though not a very good one) for supposedly not knowing about Hernandez’ more objectionable ideas and activities.

The good news is the word is out. Lately the Internet has been buzzing with the facts about Hernandez’s past activities. Now if we could just get McCain’s opponents to start hammering him on the issue…

At a campaign appearance, a lady in the audience asked McCain about Hernandez (watch here ). McCain claimed to have “no idea” about Hernandez’ controversial views.

But the truth is Juan Hernandez’ views are a perfect fit for McCain.

The plain fact is that John McCain has an unmistakable deep-seated animus against the traditional American nation. Listen to what he said in 2005 in a speech at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner:

“We are a nation of many races, many religious faiths, many points of origin. But our one shared faith is the belief that a nation conceived in an idea, in liberty, will prove stronger, more enduring, and better than any nation ordered to exalt the few at the expense of the many or made from a common race or culture or to preserve traditions that have no greater attribute than longevity.”

McCain is saying that the U.S. has no common culture, it’s a good thing it doesn’t, that a nation without a culture is stronger and more enduring.

So McCain doesn’t think that culture, ethnicity or race are in any way relevant?

Well, that depends on what race or culture he’s talking about. In 2006, in a speech to the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, John McCain, speaking of the Hispanic Culture, put a very different spin on things:

“This [is] one of the defining moments in American history that really does define what kind of nation we are. If there was ever such a thing as a noble cause, it is the one we are embarked on now. Anyone who is afraid that somehow our culture will be anything but enriched by fresh blood and culture, in my view, has a distorted view of history and has a pessimistic view of our future.”

So, John McCain doesn’t think the U.S. has a culture, or needs a culture. But he does praise Hispanic “blood and culture” which is enriching “our culture” (the American culture he doesn’t care about).

And McCain says the Hispanicization or Mexicanization of the U.S.A. is “a noble cause” which makes this is a “defining moment in American history”.

So there you have it. John McCain wants the U.S. to be Mexicanized. In that light, all his past actions, and his current associations, make perfect sense.

Why is McCain like this? Why is he so alienated from the historic American nation?

Is it because he’s from a full-time military family, in which they moved around so much they were in effect, rootless, and the military was their culture?

Is it a bad result of his POW experience?

Is it because he lived in Arizona and thought open borders was the way to win the Hispanic Vote?

Is it because he’s considered a maverick and mistakenly believes that mavericks support open borders? (Nowadays, real mavericks oppose open borders!)

Is it just because he thought it was the cool thing to do?

Or is he on somebody’s payroll? (By the way, a major financial supporter of the McCain campaign is Republican billionaire Jerry Perenchio, former CEO of Univision, the Spanish-language television network in the U.S.)

Is it something else, or some kind of combination of all or some of the above?

I don’t know. You could psychoanalyze these guys all day and not get anywhere.

I just know that he is the way he is, and that’s what we’ve got to deal with.

Given John McCain’s record, his associations, and his anti-American attitude, I don’t see how any informed citizen could vote for the guy. That’s not an (un)endorsement, it’s just my analysis.

But what American patriot could vote for such a man?

ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE: MACABRE WALTZ INTO THE ABYSS

By Devvy Kidd

“If the American people ever allow the banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation, and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property, until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power of money should be taken from banks and restored to Congress and the people to whom it belongs. I sincerely believe the banking institutions having the issuing power of money, are more dangerous to liberty than standing armies.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Despite clever word smithing coming out of the mouths of polished politicians and high paid illusion artists for networks like FOX (in for a very rough 2008) News, only someone in extreme denial can ignore the true state of America’s economy. I’ve written about it for years, warning people that while Congress continues to write hot checks, kissed, blessed and signed off by whatever banking cartel water boy is sitting in the White House, the powder keg was just waiting to blow. BOOM.

With two or three exceptions (Dr. Ron Paul being the stand out), the U.S. House of Representatives, comprised of useful fools, the functionally illiterate and stinking buzzards, has just passed another monumental piece of lunacy called an “economic stimulus package.” This $1.5 BILLION dollar shell game will stimulate nothing and let me tell you why.

One: There is no money in the U.S. Treasury. As I write this column, the people’s purse is overdrawn $9,203,187,681,379.26. Every one of those “economic stimulus package” checks sent out to the American people will be a hot check written against an account that’s over drawn $9.2 TRILLION DOLLARS. How can Congress do this? They do it by borrowing from the unconstitutional central bank called the “Federal” Reserve. By the time the interest is paid on this grotesque “stimulus package,” the tab will be $3 BILLION dollars.

Two: There will be no economic stimulus because this is just another Band Aid being applied in an attempt to stop the patient on the operating table from hemorrhaging to death. Whatever the amount, at this time it appears to be a $600.00 hot check to individuals and a $1200.00 hot check to couples, it will get spent right away. Because tens of millions of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, it’s doubtful these ‘hot bux’ will go into a savings account. Off the struggling middle class will go to Wal Mart to buy needed products made in commie China, which increases the trade deficit that most Americans neither understand nor have any interest in because daily survival is all consuming.

Third: Now that this quick fix called ‘hot bux’ is spent, what did it accomplish? Like a heroin junkie, flash bang, but then right back to reality and looking for the next fix. Let’s not forget that these hot checks might be in the mail sometime in May – almost four months down the road. Yesterday’s rate drop by the privately owned “FEDwill not be felt for six-eight months down the road, long after many more Americans will have already drowned and small businesses had their ‘final liquidation – going out of business’ sales.

Fourth: Here’s the part that proves these miscreants in Congress are not only unfit for office, but border on the brink of mental illness – ILLEGAL aliens will also get these “tax rebates.” No, you’re not reading that wrong. Comrade Pelosi and her gang of nitwits passed this bill which contains a provision to give criminals (illegals who smuggle themselves across our borders) who “earn” $3,000 per year by stealing jobs they have no legal right to have, a $300.00 hot check and your children and grand babies will be the ones to inherit the debt. Yesterday, the counterfeit senate scared for their political future this November, killed that provision in their version of this grotesque “stimulus” package; who knows what the final carrot will look like.

Fifth: The massive “entitlement” programs already gasping for some sort of life line, are now like full grown hippos looking to mother government to bail them out for another month, then another month, then another month. If you missed Carolyn Lochhead’s bombshell column back in 2004, she gave the numbers that shocked a whole lot of people – except Congress who remained in their delusional states of self-importance as the cancer continued to fester. BOOM.

Isn’t that a great solution to our “ailing economy”? There’s no money in the treasury, but Congress, signed off by Bush, will run up another $3 BILLION borrowed dollars in debt. Cuckoo! Cuckoo! If Democrats think Pelosi’s House is going to do anything to stop what’s coming, just think of this past year under her “leadership”: chaos and fluff and puff while our soldiers continue to die in Iraq and Afghanistan.

[Correction: I made a typo. The economic stimulus package at this time is $150 billion, not $1.5 billion. I left off the zero. By the time the interest is paid to the privately owned FED, it will be roughly $300 billion borrowed dollars.]

While the FBI is now investigating sub prime mortgage fraud, Marxist Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama continue to jawjack how they have the magic fix to help the masses. Establishment lackeys, Flip Romney and notoriously hot tempered, John McCain talk the worn out “tax cuts.” Folksy, Brother Huckabee’s ignorant promotion of a “fair tax” shows his lack of qualification on the subject. Of course, all of this is just a continuation of the dance into the abyss because it means nothing in real time.

On January 23, 2008, I went in search of a tent city located in Ontario, California, about a 45-minute drive (depending on traffic) East of LA. While I had an approximate idea of the location, West end of the Ontario Airport, I knew I would have to do a little bit of searching. It didn’t take long. The stench of human waste and garbage was so over powering, I picked it up a half mile away.

This tent city is shocking to see up close. It is reminiscent of photos from the artificially engineered Great Depression, only in living color. The city is doing their best to help these folks, but that cost gets passed on to the productive in Ontario and the county itself in higher taxes.

One young man I interviewed asked me not to take his photo because he’s looking for work. While the majority of Americans living at this tent city are simply those left with no place to go for various reasons, this 30-ish, educated American lost his home through foreclosure several months ago. As he sat, stroking his cat, a sad story emerged. Caught up in the hype about the glorious state of the economy, he and his wife bought a house with an ARM (adjustable rate mortgage) in a high ticket market. When it came time to face the reality of a bigger payment, credit card debt to the max and little savings, the first loss was the house, then the marriage due to stress and then his job.

If you think this tent city is just a bunch of bums, not true. The city has stepped in with out houses and getting children transported to local schools. The adults milling around were dressed middle class, some cooking over open fires, others in groups talking. I asked one lady who came near the curb to dump some water if she wouldn’t mind speaking with me? She said yes, but was defensive because a lot of media have been around and apparently some of the coverage has been less than kind. Single mother with two children; husband skipped out so there’s no help there. Evicted because she couldn’t pay her rent with the taxes eating both of her paychecks – Mr. Bush’s idea of the American dream: multiple, low paying jobs while our good jobs are destroyed through trade treaties signed by him, his father and Bill Clinton. The conversation moved to the high cost of everything and despair. This in a land rich in human and natural resources. I left this tent city knowing it’s not going to be the last one on the American landscape.

Are Americans now burning their homes to the ground to collect the insurance instead of facing foreclosure? Others are just walking away from their loans. What happens to the local economy when foreclosures in one county (Lee, Florida) numbered 1,441 in December and 7,324 for the year? When you add the financial time bomb Jeb Bush built and lit before he left office now ready to go off, the citizens of Florida face a frightful future. According to one real estate tracking service, the number of U.S. homes that slipped into some stage of foreclosure in 2007 was a stunning 79 percent higher than in the previous year. Recession is the word being used for a “soft” market, but look out as 2008 progresses because it’s going to get far, far worse than most Americans can envision.

In their effort to shore up disaster, Congress and the thieves at the FED have been bailing out Wall Street, the bankers and their own backsides. After all, it’s not the little guy out there filling their campaign coffers with ill gotten gains, it’s the corporations that own them right along with their magical money machine, the “Federal” Reserve. As the carnage begins to spread deeper into American households, Americans will demand more and more from mother government to bail out their bacon. Of course, it never seems to sink in that it’s the American people themselves who reelect (with the help of high tech rigging) the same crooks who continue to spend recklessly on unconstitutional expenditures; just read this one. Bring home the bacon? Nothing like getting fat off the hog and then dropping dead from all that pork.

So few Americans understand the relationship between the FED and their wallet. They have little or no understanding of the money trail between the IRS and the FED. Those who do have been buying gold as a hedge against what IS already underway. I’m not a gold dealer, but if you’re considering protecting what you have left, I always recommend El Dorado Gold. Professional like Harvey (Phoenix) 602.228.8203 and Eric (Florida) 623.643.8786, are highly knowledgeable and can get you on the right path to financial security. I get sick just thinking about the real time jeopardy to the trillion dollars in pension funds at risk right along with 401K savings; here’s just one example. How many times have I encouraged Americans to listen to David Walker, Comptroller General of these united States of America trying to warn the American people about the financial tsunami that is now building speed? Too many to count along with hundreds of other writers.

Ron Paul has a bill lingering in Congress since July 15, 2007, to abolish the unconstitutional Federal Reserve. There are no sponsors. Why? Because without the central bank to borrow from on a daily basis, Congress would be unable to write hot checks to the tune of more than NINE TRILLION BORROWED DOLLARS. Because without the central bank to borrow from, Bush would not be able to steal from the American people to fund his nebulous and endless “war on terror,” his unconstitutional nation building or endless “wars of liberation” to the tune of almost ONE TRILLION BORROWED DOLLARS.

Yes, the numbers are staggering and there isn’t going to be any quick fix. Financial analysts whose reputations will soon be in tatters and craven elitists like George Bush and his minions, are hoping that the massive consumer dollars generated by the American people will save the day, but it’s not going to happen. This is why so many Americans support Dr. RON Paul for president. They know he’s the only candidate from either party who truly understands our monetary system and limited, constitutional government. One must remember that the next president won’t be seated in the Oval Office for another year and by that time, between hyper inflation and more heavy taxation eating what little the American people have, the picture is indeed grim.

If Ron Paul were to win the presidency and Dr. Edwin Vieira as Secretary of the Treasury in his administration, we would begin the recovery process towards a true and honest monetary policy and an elimination of the unnecessary federal income tax. If that doesn’t happen, we will see more tragedy for our nation. As Dr. Vieira said almost a year ago: “Rest assured that what you decide today you will be required to live with tomorrow. For the fiscal gap is a national trap that is inexorably closing. Once the financial swallows come home to the Disgrace of Columbia, there will be no going back—only “forward,” into the New World Disorder of economic dislocation and deprivation enforced by a thoroughgoing police state.”

You’ve heard the expression, “It’s not over until the fat lady sings.” Can you hear the cacophony of sound from millions of Americans yet? You will, but it won’t sound like singing.

V-DARE
By Brenda Walker

MEXICHURIAN PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH is determined to cement the North American Union as much as possible during his term. Incredibly, he aims at a European Union-type political merger between the U.S., Mexico and Canada, including replacing the dollar with a Euro-style currency called the Amero and rearranging trade patterns to favor Mexico. Central to the deal is the uncontrolled movement of people throughout North America.

This EU mega-state concept has actually been losing support among average folk in Europe. For example, the Dutch and French voted down the EU Constitution in 2005. Doesn’t matter to globalist elites, though. They push forward with expanding bureaucracy slanted toward one-worldish interests in the corporate style.

This is not a joke. The “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America” (SPP) is not a nutty conspiracy theory, but is a genuine government policy explained in White House documents and a Commerce Department website. While prettied up in trade language, the intent of the SPP is clearly continent-wide political unification and the dissolution of American national sovereignty. Business elites believe that borders and laws are an annoying impediment to commerce. They have decided the nation-state must go.

With that unhappy possible future in mind, perhaps we should consider the intended spouse in Bush’s shotgun marriage.

You wouldn’t marry your next door neighbor just because of that person’s convenient location. Why then are Washington elites working to dissolve sovereignty in order to unify with a third-world sewer best known for corruption, violence, poverty, sexism and apathy toward education?

The only answer is Mexico’s enormous supply of cheap, exploitable labor, which business wants to fuel the neo-slave economy of its dreams. But the cultures of the peoples of Mexico and the United States are deeply incompatible, and have a history of bad blood going back centuries.

Below, my list of cultural reasons why the United States should avoid further entanglement with Mexico. Please remember that these are societal averages only; there are many admirable Mexican citizens—particularly those living in Mexico. Also, ten should be understood as an arbitrary number. It does not imply that there are only ten reasons to shun a Mexican merger.

#10 The legal age of heterosexual consent in Mexico is 12.

As with many laws, there is some diversity according to locale and other variables, but this discussion of statutes agrees that 12 is the legally acceptable age for straight sex to occur in Mexico.

Mexican men have a reputation for leering and worse at little girls, which shouldn’t surprise us, since sex with children is socially acceptable in Mexico. Fifteen-year-old girls have a ceremony called a Quinceañera which announces their availability to become wives, mothers and girlfriends. In America, children of that age are expected to complete three more years of high school, to be followed hopefully by a college education. But in Mexico, young girls are considered available, according to law and custom.

A 2005 news report from North Carolina found that “Culture might be factor in sexual abuse”, [By Annette Newell, News 14 Carolina, June, 21, 2005] referring to Hispanic men’s propensity to prey upon little girls. The story tip-toed around the obvious fact that foreigners bring their cultures with them, ranging from tasty cuisine to child sex abuse.

An example: Mexican Diego Lopez-Mendez pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl in West Virginia, with a not-uncommon excuse that child sex is normal among his people.

“In the pueblo where I grew up girls are usually married by 13 years old….I was unaware of the nature of the offense or that it was a bad crime”, said Lopez through the translator. [Illegal Immigrant Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault, WTOV9 2/28/06]

In the Netherlands last year, the public was outraged because pedophiles organized themselves into a political party. One of their demands is that the age of consent be lowered from 16 to 12. Perhaps someone should tell them that Mexico already has what pedophiles want.

Or maybe not.

#9 Mexican sexism ranks close to the Taliban.

Islamic men have largely nailed down the reputation as the most misogynous males on the planet. But Mexicans are no slouches in this regard.

Even the diversity propagandist Washington Post has noticed the horrific social status of women south of the border:

“But in the country that made the term “machismo” famous, where women were given the right to vote only in 1953, women’s rights advocates said rape and other violence against women are still not treated as serious crimes.” [In Mexico, an Unpunished Crime, By Mary Jordan, Washington Post, July 30, 2002]

But in the country that made the term “machismo” famous, where women were given the right to vote only in 1953, women’s rights advocates said rape and other violence against women are still not treated as serious crimes. [In Mexico, an Unpunished Crime, By Mary Jordan, Washington Post, July 30, 2002]

In some Mexican states, men may freely kidnap women for sex, a custom known as “rapto,” which is regarded as a harmless amusement by men despite the unsuccessful attempts of women’s groups to criminalize it.

In early 2006, Mexico City decided it should mount a campaign against the rampant sexist behavior of Mexican males, largely because workplace harassment against women is so commonplace. But the supposed message of gender respect was lost in a bizarre public education campaign featuring sex dolls in various positions, er employment venues. One billboard showed a sex doll dressed up as an executive secretary at a desk. Some might think that such images sent the message was that all women, even those professionally employed, are available.

In Juarez, the murders of hundreds of young women over the last decade have been of little importance for the men in charge of law enforcement there. But some Mexican officials have blamed the victims. It should be a national scandal that the crimes remain unsolved after so many years. But it isn’t—which speaks volumes about how little respect Mexican society has for women.

In Mexico, women continue to be second-class citizens whose safety doesn’t count for much. Yet in this country, most American women remain unaware (because they’ve been uninformed—except by Athena Kerry in VDARE.COM) that hard-won legal protections and egalitarian social standing are threatened by the presence of millions of retrosexual Mexican males hardwired with paleolithic attitudes and behavior.

#8 Crime and violence are increasing as the state fails.

Recent news about the spread of drug cartels into new territory, particularly into tourist areas, show that the central government is losing its battle against organized crime, particularly the drug cartels. The outcome of Presidente Calderon’s crackdown remains to be seen. And while many Mexicans are alarmed at the dissolution of order, there are plenty of willing workers who see crime as a job opportunity.

Mexico City has the second highest crime rate in Latin America. Kidnapping in Mexico is second only to Colombia, and even ordinary middle class people get snatched by criminals hoping for a ransom. According to the BBC, “More money is paid in kidnap ransoms here than anywhere else in the world”. Mexico is #6 worldwide for murders per capita.

Nuevo Laredo has been a war zone between cartels battling for control of the NAFTA Highway by which they can easily distribute drugs throughout the continent, despite Fox sending in the army for several weeks in 2005 with no effect. The street fighting, which has at times included bazookas and RPGs, has spread to tourist areas like Acapulco, where two police officers were beheaded by traffickers in April. In February, armed gunmen stormed a Nuevo Laredo newspaper office and exploded a grenade, seriously injuring one reporter.

Average Mexicans are overwhelmed by crime and how it limits their lives. In 2004, a quarter million crowded the central square in Mexico City to protest violent crime, many carrying signs demanding tougher penalties and others with photos of relatives lost. Analyst George Grayson remarked that the issue was a vital one in the Presidential election: Calderon understood it was “imperative that Mexican citizens feel that they are safe in their own streets”. Because they haven’t.

And yet, there is also a strong vein of admiration for crime in Mexican society. Narcocorridos—songs celebrating drug smugglers—are a popular genre and sell a lot of recordings.

#7 Lynching remains a continuing practice.

In the 2001 book Amazon True Tales from Another Mexico, author Sam Quinones mentioned in passing that lynching is not an unusual occurrence in Mexico, and his clippings file on extra-legal executions from 1994 until 2000 was three inches thick. One chapter in the book told the story of two salesmen whose crude behavior in the country village of Huejutla ended with townspeople lynching them in the town square with the belief that the pair were organ-snatching child kidnappers.

In 2004, a Mexico City mob beat up, then burned to death two policemen on live television. Locals had mistaken federal agents for kidnappers and then killed them, with no apparent regret later for their error.

Mexicans simply do not have the same belief as Americans that the law is central to the equitable functioning of a complex nation. It’s the Third World.

#6 Mexican dislike for education lasts for generations.

Unlike many other immigrant groups which have figured out the American path to success, Mexicans have been notably unwilling to use the educational opportunities available to better themselves. Just 9.6 percent of fourth-generation Mexican-Americans have a post-high-school degree, compared with 45.1 percent of Americans as a whole. While 62 percent of Asians get college degrees, Mexicans are known for their high-school dropout culture.

No surprise here. Mexico does not promote education as a national value. Mexican attitudes are stuck in the bad old days, when six years of schooling was considered adequate. Kids are encouraged to get out into the workplace to help support the family rather than finish school—an attitude you don’t see in Confucian culture, for one.

As a result, Mexicans are arguably the worst, i.e. least likely to succeed, immigrant group ever because of their total apathy toward education. Former Congressman Herman Badillo (who wrote the first bilingual education bill) has been assailed by professional ethnic whiners for saying Hispanics need to assimilate to American values of education and speaking English. Sadly for the friends of progress, the largest immigrant group by far is Mexican—about 31 percent.

Unhelpful attitudes work in other ways. Political correctness has prevented an adequate investigation of IQ-lowering lead poisoning among immigrant children in southern California who are fed large quantities of toxic Mexican candy by mothers not big on veggies and whole grains.

Unsurprisingly, Mexico suffers from a corresponding level of superstition that matches up with little education. The standard Catholic religion is supplemented with old-fashioned beliefs like the curse of the evil eye and colorful characters like Jesus Malverde, the patron saint of drug smugglers.

#5 Drunk driving is deemed acceptable, even considered desirably macho.

Driving while inebriated is not condemned by Mexican society. Officials there now insist that more is being done by law enforcement to curtail dangerous drunk driving, but there is no change of public opinion like the one in the US after the effective Mothers Against Drunk Driving campaigns.

Mexicans bring this dangerous aspect of their culture when they come north. The leading cause of death for Hispanics aged 1-34 is vehicle crashes, and states with high rates of fatal hit-and-run accidents correspond with those most affected by illegal immigration.

“The Latino community creates its own problems,” said Joe Ynostroza, technical assistance director for the California Hispanic Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse in Sacramento, a nonprofit educational organization. The problem is especially acute in Mexico.

“Most of this is first- or second-generation Mexican males,” he said. “Alcoholism runs rampant in the Mexican Latino community.”

No other ethnic or racial group has such a high level of DUI arrests statewide, according to the California Department of Justice. [DUI’s culture gap, By Rick Brewer Stockton Record, May 21, 2006]

The ongoing carnage on American highways from Mexican drunk drivers is increasing with an expanding population of foreigners not assimilating to the American way of driving—law-abiding, sober and strapped in.

#4 Animal cruelty is no problema.

Mexicans love their bullfighting, a bloodsport which ends in the matador killing the animal with a sword to the heart, a pre-determined outcome which is not very sporting. Before the matador’s entrance, the mounted picador torments the bull by piercing it repeatedly with a spear, an activity which can end badly for the horse. (Speaking of horses, about 10 percent of Mexican stock are slaughtered for food.)

Mexican rodeo includes steer-tailing, where a rider yanks the animal’s tail in an attempt to flip it to the ground. Steer-tailing was made illegal in Eagle County in Colorado because of the cruelty of the event.

By comparison, American rodeo animals are protected by law and active citizen interest in their welfare.

#3 Mexicans are racist.

“Mexican society is fundamentally racist and classist,” said Guadalupe Loaeza, a newspaper columnist. “The color of your skin is a key that either opens or shuts doors. The lighter your skin, the more doors open to you.” [Mexican Postage Stamp Pushes Racial Envelope, By Chris Kraul & Reed Johnson LA Times June 2005]

The controversy about Mexico’s racist postage stamps revealed the country’s attitude toward darker-skinned peoples as definitely non-egalitarian. Governmental elites are pale persons of European descent, like ex-Presidente Vicente Fox whose background includes Irish and Spanish roots. Reporting about the last Mexican Presidential race noted that candidate Lopez Obrador is dark-skinned, a characteristic counted as an impediment in a country where the political class is overwhelmingly white. New Presidente Felipe Calderon is white.

Aztlan cheerleaders squatting in this country like to make the point that Mexicans are indigenous people. Indeed Mexico has a high percentage of Indian and mestizo peoples compared with other Latin American nations. The World Bank reports that Mexico has 37 languages, each spoken by at least 10,000 people, and that the rate of illiteracy is 63 percent among the indigenous population, versus 42 percent in the non-indigenous.

Mexico’s elite may even have ethnic cleansing in mind, as they push uneducated mestizos and Indians into the US, while the white oligarchs just get richer. (The net worth of Mexico’s billionaires expanded from 4 percent of GDP in 2000 to 6 percent in 2006 according to a World Bank study, with little trickle down.)

Mexicans are also anti-Semitic, according to surveys done by the Anti-Defamation League. The most recent, in 2005, found that 35 percent of Foreign-born Hispanics have “hardcore anti-Semitic beliefs,” compared with 19 percent of US-born, a slight improvement over a similar 2002 poll with results of 44 and 20 percent respectively.

In comparison, extreme anti-Semitic views are held by 14 percent of American-Americans.

#2 Mexican corruption is endemic.

A Washington Post article (“For Many in Mexico, Bribes a Way of Life”) emphasized that bribes were entirely normal, from getting a drivers license to procuring a building permit for a major project. Kids slip the teacher a little cash for a better grade. Residents of Mexico City have to pay a mordida for nearly a quarter of government services received, a study found.

As below, so above. Political corruption is a common item in the news, as politicians stuff money into suitcases and offshore bank accounts. Mexico is “considered one of the most corrupt countries in the hemisphere” with evidence growing that connections between drug cartels and government officials are substantial. Several years of investigation by Transparency International put Mexico solidly into the Third World in terms of corruption.

Part of the reason for the corruption is no tradition of the building blocks of democracy. Mexico has little support for free speech in the press. Mexico is a very dangerous place for journalists doing investigative work about powerful interests, from drug cartels to corrupt government officials. For example, the American publisher of the little Gringo Gazette faced two years in jail for telling the truth about real estate scams that Mexican developers were pulling on American investors. The murder of Chihuahua crime reporter Enrique Perea last August was the 25th killing of a journalist in Mexico since 1995.

#1 Mexicans are Marxicans.

Throughout their history, Mexicans have preferred statist socialism and earlier varieties of big government, rather than individualistic free enterprise.

Politically, Mexico had a history of one-party rule longer than the Soviet Union, symbolically ended with the election of Vicente Fox, a member of the opposition party. Even so, pundits and government officials hint that democracy may not be quite the done deal we’ve been led to believe, saying things like “Mexico has made great strides toward democracy” and “The democracy Mexico has built is fragile.” No kidding.

The Mexican political preference for over 70 years has been far left sombrero Stalinism, a tendency which continues today, as shown by leftist candidate Lopez Obrador coming within a hair of winning the Presidency last summer.

And despite being a very wealthy nation, Mexico is still the Third World where the forces of anarchy are becoming stronger and failing state syndrome is snapping at its heels.

Americans have a totally different cultural background, including a belief that progress is possible. (See Prof Lawrence Harrison’s fascinating analysis of progress-prone vs. progress-averse cultures, also organized as a chart.) As Samuel Huntington remarked, “… if America had been settled not by British Protestants but by French, Spanish, or Portuguese Catholics, it would not be America; it would be Quebec, Mexico, or Brazil.””

Throughout our history, Americans have worked to improve the rule of law and expand gender and racial equality. We value scholarship and scientific inquiry. Our concept of “family values” includes educating young people for many years rather than sending them out into the workplace at age 14 or encouraging teen marriage for girls. A closer integration of the Mexican and America cultures would be completely negative for America and destructive to our tradition of fairness under law.

Mexifornication has been a step backward. The unassimilated millions of Mexicans in this country bring with them their culture’s violence, disinterest in education, historic corruption and gender inequality.

On the basis of culture alone—forgetting about the drug cartels, financial cost to American taxpayers, threats to public health, the danger from political Aztlan and the normalization of treason—the idea is the worst ever to emanate from Washington.

Just say NO to the idiotic scheme of US-Mexico political union—truly a marriage made in hell.

Congress Poised to Give Tax Rebates to Illegal Aliens
Call Your Senators Now!

January 30, 2008

The economic stimulus package traveling through Congress right now does nothing to stop the IRS from issuing rebate checks to illegal aliens. Please call your Senators now and urge them to take action!

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed H.R.5140, the economic stimulus package, by a vote of 385-35. As many of you have already learned from news outlets, the economic package includes tax rebates of $600 for individual taxpayers and $1,200 for couples. However, this package—thrown together within days—allows the IRS to send tax rebate checks to illegal aliens!

The issue stems from defining who is eligible for a tax rebate. In drafting H.R.5140, Congress left gaping loopholes. Section 101 excludes “nonresident aliens” from being eligible, but this is essentially meaningless as the IRS does not determine whether an individual is a “nonresident alien” based on his or her immigration status. Moreover, it does not address the eligibility of illegal aliens who send in tax returns using stolen or false social security numbers.

At a minimum, the IRS should be required to screen the numbers (whether individual taxpayer identification numbers (ITINs) or social security numbers (SSNs)) used to issue the checks to ensure they match the name of the taxpayer in question. If a name and number do not match, the IRS should be prohibited from issuing a tax rebate check. Senator John Ensign (R-NV) has filed an amendment to affect this change, but we do not know whether he will even be allowed to offer it.

H.R.5140 is now in the Senate and will go through the Senate Finance Committee this afternoon. From there, Senate staffers indicate it will go quickly to the floor. PLEASE TAKE ACTION NOW!

We urge all FAIR members, activists and friends to call their Senators now and urge them to fix the loopholes in H.R. 5140 that allow illegal aliens to get tax rebate checks. After calling your own Senators, please call the Senators who sit on the Finance Committee and urge them to take action too.
